It is recommended to watch this video series at least once to get familiar with the Omnipod GO pod and setup process. Before starting your first pod.

Once you feel confident, you can follow along, pausing and replaying as needed, as you start your first pod.

Before opening the packaging for a pod, please gather the following items.

Number one,

the package that includes the Omnipod GO pod.

Make sure the package shows the correct daily rate that has been prescribed for you by your healthcare provider.

Number two, a vial of room-temperature, compatible U100 rapid-acting insulin.

And number three, alcohol prep swabs.

Before we go through the steps to fill the pod, consider where you are going to apply the pod to your body.

Ideal locations for the placement include upper back of your arm, side or front of your thigh, lower back or buttocks, and abdomen.

It is important to choose a location that will allow you to see and hear the pod display lights and sounds.

Depending which pod site you select, there are different ways to position the pod.

For example, putting the pod on your arm or leg vertically, facing up or down, fits on your arm or leg better than putting it horizontally or sideways.

Once you have decided where to place the pod, wash your hands with soap and water.

Then clean the site using an alcohol swab.

Using these techniques can help reduce your risk of an infection.

Let the pod site air dry completely.

Do not blow on the site to dry it.
