Pod Overview

The Omnipod GO Pod is a tubeless wearable insulin delivery device that will continuously deliver insulin into your body through a tiny tube called a cannula.

When you apply the pod to your body, a needle inserts the cannula automatically into your skin and then retracts leaving only the soft cannula to deliver the insulin into your body over 72 hours or three days.

If you are already taking insulin by daily injections, the Omnipod GO Pod will replace that injection.

The pod will deliver a preset, continuous amount of insulin per hour as prescribed by your healthcare provider.

As a reminder, do not change your prescribed rate without consulting with your healthcare provider as it may lead to low or high glucose levels.

The pod is waterproof and is worn on the body with adhesive tape.

You can wear it to shower, bathe, and swim.

After 72 hours or three days, the pod will stop delivering insulin and will need to be replaced with a new one. Once the pod stops, it cannot be turned back on.

The pod displays lights and sounds to inform you of its status.

You may need to put a new pod on earlier than 72 hours if there's an issue with the pod.
