NEW! Dexcom G7 15 Day CGM System

We’re excited to share, that effective from launch, Omnipod 5 is compatible with the Dexcom G7 15 Day CGM System, part of the Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Systems.  

No changes are needed to your current Pod prescription. Your existing Pods that work with Dexcom G6 or G7 also work seamlessly with the new Dexcom G7 15 Day.

How do I pair Dexcom G6 with the Omnipod 5 System?

*A study was conducted to assess the sensor life where 73.9% of sensors lasted the full 15 days. In other words, when using the product per the package labeling, approximately 26% of sensors may not last for the full 15 days.    

More time in automated mode based on 30 min warm up time for Dexcom G7 versus 2 hours with Dexcom G6. During sensor warm up the system enters Automated Mode: Limited.    

Note: Sensor sold separately, requires a separate prescription. Dexcom G6 and Dexcom G7 must be used with the Dexcom mobile app to use Automated Mode. The Dexcom receiver is not compatible with these configurations of the Omnipod 5 system.     

The Dexcom G7 15 day is indicated for ages 18+ and the Dexcom G7 is indicated for ages 2+.    

The Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System is indicated for use by individuals with type 1 diabetes mellitus in persons 2 years of age and older and type 2 diabetes mellitus in persons 18 years of age and older. The Omnipod 5 System is intended for single patient, home use and requires a prescription. The Omnipod 5 System is compatible with the following U-100 insulins: NovoLog®, Humalog®, Admelog®, and Kirsty®.​  

Available products subject to current insurance coverage and product indication for use. Insulet can only support onboarding for those customers within the product indication.

Initiating and adjusting settings incorrectly can result in over-delivery or under-delivery of insulin, which could lead to hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia. Warning: do not use SmartAdjust technology in persons under 2 years of age or who use less than 5U of insulin per day.
