Omnipod® 5 FAQs:
Prepare for Omnipod 5 Training

Ensure you have the following before attending training:

• Vial of U-100 rapid-acting insulin compatible with the Omnipod 5 System.
  • Compatible U-100 insulins are NovoLog®, Humalog®, Admelog®, and Kirsty®.
• Omnipod 5 Pods (compatible with Dexcom G7 or Dexcom G6)
• Fully-charged Omnipod 5 Controller and Omnipod 5 compatible smartphone, if applicable*
• Omnipod 5 User Guide
• Active Dexcom G7 CGM Systems or Dexcom G6 sensor that is connected to the Dexcom G7 or Dexcom G6 display device.
  • If you are using a standard Dexcom G7 or Dexcom G6 sensor, you will need to power off your Dexcom receiver.
  • If you are using a Dexcom G7 15 Day sensor, you will be able to use either your Dexcom G7 receiver or the mobile app.
• Charging cable and adapter for your Controller and/ or compatible smartphone.

Tip: Wear comfortable clothing with easy access to desired Pod placement area .

• TWO new FreeStyle Libre Plus sensors.
  • The Omnipod 5 System will not connect with a FreeStyle Libre Plus sensor if you started the sensor using another device. You must start the sensor with the Omnipod 5 app on the Insulet-provided Controller.
• Controller charging cable and adapter
