Helping Patients Enroll in Omnipod Discover™
This video will guide you through the process of helping your patients enroll in Omnipod Discover, a platform that provides weekly insights into their insulin and glucose data, patterns, and trends. There are a few ways a patient can enroll. You can invite a patient to join your clinic, a patient can self-enroll through their PodderCentral® account, or a patient can enroll during the first-time setup for Omnipod® 5.
Invite a patient:
From the patient directory in Omnipod Discover, you can invite a patient to join your clinic. Once the invitation is sent, the patient will need to complete the following steps:
- Click the link in their invitation email.
- Sign in to their PodderCentral account.
- Click “Enroll now in Omnipod Discover” banner or select "Manage My Data."
- Then click “Enroll” for Omnipod Discover.
- Review and agree to the Acknowledgement & Agreement.
- Review physician details. If necessary, the patient can update physician information by selecting “Change Physician.”
- Enter their mobile phone number to receive weekly reports and select the consent to receive text messages, then click “Verify.”
- The patient must verify their phone number by responding “Yes” to the text message they receive to complete enrollment. Once the patient responds “Yes” to the text message, the screen will update with a “Congratulations” message. The patient will have successfully enrolled in Omnipod Discover.
Patient can self-enroll:
A patient can self-enroll in Omnipod Discover by following these steps:
- Signing into their PodderCentral account.
- Click the “Enroll now in Omnipod Discover” banner or selecting "Manage My Data."
- Click “Enroll” for Omnipod Discover.
- The patient will complete the enrollment process, confirm their information, and verify their mobile phone number.
Enroll to Omnipod Discover while onboarding:
If a patient is new to Omnipod, they will need to follow these steps:
- Navigate to Omnipod.com/setup.
- Sign in or create an Omnipod ID.
- Select “Yes, I Have New Product.”
- Select the prescribed Omnipod Device.
- Search for the prescribing healthcare provider.
- Answer a few questions about their current diabetes management.
- Select their preferred training method.
- Complete the Omnipod Discover enrollment process.
- Patients will begin receiving weekly insights after completing training and the first time set up of a product.
