The Omnipod 5 System now integrates with the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus and 2 Plus sensors! With this new sensor integration, users will benefit from tubeless automated insulin delivery along with the convenience of a 15-day CGM sensor, and the ability to start, deactivate, and view sensor glucose data directly from the Omnipod 5 Controller, and their Android device for FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor users.

How to Prescribe Omnipod 5 with the compatible FreeStyle Libre sensors

  • For new-to-Omnipod 5 patients starting on FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus, send both the Intro Kit and refill Pods to ASPN Pharmacies’ New Jersey location
  • For existing Omnipod 5 patients transitioning to Omnipod 5 FreeStyle Libre-compatible Pods, send the prescription to ASPN Pharmacies’ New Jersey location. For support, have them contact Omnipod Customer Care team at 1-800-591-3455.

Note: The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus Sensor requires a separate prescription and is necessary to use Omnipod 5 in Automated Mode.

The compatible FreeStyle Libre sensors are prescribed separately, and available through all major retail pharmacies, but cannot be processed by ASPN.

The Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System is indicated for use by individuals with type 1 diabetes mellitus in persons 2 years of age and older and type 2 diabetes mellitus in persons 18 years of age and older. The Omnipod® 5 System is intended for single patient, home use and requires a prescription.
