No, the Omnipod® 5 System does not have integration with a blood glucose meter. The Omnipod® 5 System integrates with the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor and Dexcom G6 sensor. 

The Omnipod® 5 System is compatible with the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor and Dexcom G6 sensor. 

The Omnipod® 5 System can be used with or without a CGM but to benefit from automated insulin delivery, it must be paired with a compatible sensor. Please discuss with your healthcare provider at the next planned consultation to determine which product is right for you.

No, the Dexcom G6 receiver cannot be used as part of the Omnipod® 5 System. Users must use the Dexcom G6 mobile app on a compatible device as part of the system. Visit www.dexcom.com/compatiblity.

Currently, the Omnipod® 5 System only integrates with the Dexcom G6 and FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors. 

I’m currently using the Dexcom G7 CGM and want to start on the Omnipod 5 System. Am I able to change to the Dexcom G6 CGM and how would I do that?    This would need to be discussed with your health care professional at the next planned consultation.

Within a short period following full release, Insulet will deploy an 'Over The Air' update that will install new software on your Omnipod 5 Controller allowing you to connect with FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus. Before doing so you should speak to your healthcare professional as a new prescription and training on the sensor will be needed.

Omnipod 5 users considering connecting with a different sensor brand should first speak to their HCP.  Connecting a different compatible CGM sensor brand with Omnipod 5 can be done at a Pod change via the Omnipod 5 App on the dedicated Controller. Step by step instructions will be displayed on the Controller on how to connect Omnipod 5 to a new sensor. To benefit from automated insulin delivery, the Omnipod® 5 System is currently only compatible with the Dexcom G6 and FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors.
