Coverage for Omnipod in Northwest Territories
Public funding status
The Northwest Territories provides public funding for insulin pump therapy and pump supplies through the Extended Health Benefits program to those who meet the criteria. The Omnipod® 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System and Omnipod DASH® Insulin Management System are covered.
Who may be eligible
You may be eligible for insulin pump coverage in the Northwest Territories if you:
- Are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes
- Are under the care of an endocrinologist or a specialist prescriber
- Hold a valid Northwest Territories Health Care Card
- Are not eligible for benefits under the Metis Health Benefits Policy or Non-Insured Health Benefits Program
