What is a Pod Experience Kit?
The PEK includes a sample non-functioning needle-free Demo Pod, so you can get an idea of the size, weight, and how it feels on the body. It can be worn almost anywhere you would give yourself an insulin injection.
Where to apply your Demo Pod
Vertically on your arm Pod window can be positioned up or down.
Vertically on your leg.
Horizontally on your abdomen - at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) away from waistband and at least 2 inches (5 cm) away from navel.
Horizontally on your lower back or upper buttocks.

Omnipod is approved for ages 2 and older. Above are recommended sites for both adults and children as they vary slightly, and we want you to have the best experience possible!

What’s included in the PEK?
The kit includes a non-functioning & needle-free Demo Pod
- The Demo Pod can be worn almost anywhere you would give yourself an injection for up to 3 days (72 hours) without injecting or receiving insulin.
- The Demo Pod gives the wearer an idea of the size, the weight, and how it is worn on the body.
†This PEK is eligible only for people with type 1 diabetes on a current insulin treatment (e.g., multiple daily injections, insulin pump therapy). People with type 2 diabetes are not eligible to receive a PEK unless they are residents in British Columbia. The PEK does NOT include a physical Personal Diabetes Manager (PDM).

**The Pod has a waterproof IP28 rating for up to 7.6 metres for up to 60 minutes. The PDM/Controller is not waterproof.
