Type 1 diabetes doesn't take breaks.

There are decisions to make before each meal, before every workout, and in the middle of the night. Even with a well-established routine, glucose levels can be unpredictable.

Omnipod 5 could be right for you if any of the below sounds familiar:

  • You're managing type 1 diabetes with multiple daily injections and want a simpler way
  • You're curious about pump therapy but assumed it was complicated or out of reach
  • You're on a tubed pump and want the freedom of going tubeless

"After years of daily injections, switching to Omnipod® was a leap into the unknown. Now, I can't imagine going back."

HOW IT WORKS

Simplifying diabetes management

Simply fill the Pod, apply it on your body, and press start to begin up to 3 days (72 hours) of insulin management. Omnipod 5 pairs with a compatible CGM sensor receiving updated glucose levels every 5 minutes and automatically adjusts your insulin around the clock using the Omnipod 5 algorithm.

By lowering Target Glucose, users in the real world got nearly 3 hours more time in range per day2

2. Forlenza G, et al. Presented at: ATTD; March 19-22, 2025; Amsterdam, NL. Real-world data from 403 people with type 1 diabetes (T1D) aged 2+ using the Omnipod 5 System who transitioned from the 8.3 to 6.1 mmol/L Target Glucose. Each Target Glucose was used for a consecutive period of 14-90 days. Median time in Range (3.9 -10.0 mmol/L) improved +11.8% in T1D (p<0.05). Median time <3.9 mmol/L +0.23% (p<0.05). Omnipod 5 results based on users with ≥75% of days with ≥220 readings available. Insulet Data on file. 05.15.25. Study funded by Insulet. RF-042025-00013

Baseline HbA1c greater than or equal to 8% were able to improve their HbA1c by 1%3

Lancet (2026); A 13-week randomized, parallel-group clinical trial conducted among 188 participants (age 4-70) [51% HbA1c ≥ 8% (64 mmol/mol)] with type 1 diabetes in France, Belgium, and the U.K., comparing the safety and effectiveness of the Omnipod 5 System versus multiple daily injections with CGM. HbA1c in participants with baseline HbA1c ≥8% improved by 1% with OP5 (8.4% MDI vs. 7.4% OP5, p<0.0001). Time below range (<70 mg/dL or <3.9mmol/L) with OP5 was non-inferior to MDI (2.27% MDI vs. 2.56% OP5, p=0.2). Study funded by Insulet.
