Discontinuation of the Omnipod® Insulin Management System
The Omnipod Insulin Management System and its supplies will no longer be available in Canada after June 30, 2026.
We would like to inform you of the upcoming discontinuation of the Omnipod® Insulin Management System. If you have patients who are currently using the Omnipod Insulin Management System, we encourage you to discuss switching their insulin management device at their next appointment, or reach out to them sooner if possible.

Omnipod Insulin Management System
If you would like to provide further information to your patients, you can direct them to our patient website and FAQs.
At Insulet, we remain committed to supporting the latest devices within the Omnipod family, including the Omnipod DASH® Insulin Management System and the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) System. Both systems use a handheld touchscreen device and Pods for up to 3-days continuous insulin delivery.

The Omnipod DASH Insulin Management System can be considered a like-for-like replacement for the Omnipod Insulin Management System.

The Omnipod 5 AID System is a fully automated hybrid-closed-loop (HCL) system that is compatible with Dexcom G6 and G7 sensors.
What happens next?
Over the next 12 months, we will be reaching out directly to healthcare professionals and patients who use the Omnipod Insulin Management system, to keep everyone informed of important dates and help ensure patients’ therapy continues to run smoothly.
If your patients have any questions about switching to a new Omnipod system, they can register for a free Pod 101 webinar session or speak to an Omnipod specialist
