Omnipod Discover Training

Omnipod Discover is a retrospective data analytics and reporting system intended for Omnipod®5 users or their caregivers and their healthcare providers for the analysis of glucose and insulin delivery data in home and healthcare settings. It is intended as supplemental data for the users to support diabetes management and aid healthcare providers in patient care.

Omnipod Discover is not intended for people with diabetes in acute care settings or for real-time display patient monitoring. The Omnipod Discover software platform is not intended to replace the primary real-time display of the sensor or insulin delivery data on the device, nor does it control any functions of the Omnipod system.

Omnipod Discover is Insulet's diabetes data management system which provides a simple user interface designed specifically for people with diabetes. Omnipod Discover tracks glucose and insulin delivery patterns to highlight key trends, insights and patterns allowing Omnipod users to optimize their diabetes management. Omnipod Discover allows users to share their data with their Healthcare Professional or clinic by using a Clinic code. This means your Healthcare Professional can access your data at any time, even between visits.

Omnipod Discover provides insights including Days in Range, Weekly Time in Range, Time in Range Trend, Insulin Usage Insights, and any Patterns Found.

Omnipod Discover is Insulet's proprietary diabetes data management system compatible with Omnipod 5. Data is uploaded from the Omnipod 5 Controller wirelessly using the built-in SIM card for cellular connectivity or a secure Wi-Fi connection.

To access Omnipod Discover you will need to login to your Online Omnipod Account and click ‘Go to Discover’. Once signed in, you can access a dashboard showing your insulin delivery insights, trends, and patterns as well as your overall insulin usage and Glucose Sensor readings.

The Clinic code is a unique identifier to assist you in finding your clinic and to initiate data sharing.

If you would like to share data with your Clinic you can do this at the point of Omnipod Discover enrolment. During enrolment you will be prompted to enter a Clinic code which should have been provided by your Healthcare professional or Clinic staff. Once this is entered and consent has been provided data sharing can take place

If you wish to change clinic information after enrolment you can do this in your Online Omnipod Account: ‘My Account’ -> ‘Account Linking’ and select 'Manage your clinics' and click to 'Add a new clinic'. If you have attempted to share data with your clinic in your Online Omnipod Account during onboarding and have been unable to do so call 974 800 0704 for further support.

To stop sharing data with a clinic, navigate to your Online Omnipod account: Select 'My Account' -> 'Account Linking' and then 'Manage your clinics'. From this view, they can choose to stop sharing by clicking the 'Remove' button next to the clinic they wish to stop sharing with.

Yes. During Online Omnipod Account creation you will be asked to read and agree to the Omnipod 5 terms and conditions, data privacy policy and product use consent. These consents are mandatory to proceed and complete account creation and to use the Omnipod 5 system. Omnipod Discover enrolment is optional and can be skipped by the user during Omnipod 5 Account creation whilst still allowing for use of Omnipod 5.

You have the option to enrol in Omnipod Discover during account set up or you can login to your Online Omnipod Account and complete enrolment on the ‘My Account’ page. To enrol in Omnipod Discover, login to your Online Omnipod Account, Select 'My Account' -> ‘Account Linking’ -> ‘Enrol in Discover’.

You can view Omnipod Discover data from the date of Omnipod Discover enrolment.

Yes, at the point of enrolling in Omnipod Discover you provide consent to share data with your Healthcare Professional, you can also opt out of data sharing with your Healthcare Professional or Clinic at this point.

You will receive a weekly e-mail report from Omnipod Discover.

Only one e-mail address can be set up to receive weekly email reports.

Login to your Online Omnipod Account, go to ‘My Account’ you can then turn off weekly emails via the toggle under ‘Discover consent and preferences’.

Log into your Online Omnipod Account, go to ‘Contact information’ under ‘My Account’ you can update your e-mail address here.

Omnipod 5 patients can opt to share their Online Omnipod Account details (Omnipod ID and password) with their caregiver. The patients caregiver will need to login to Omnipod Discover by visiting www.omnipod.com and by visiting the patients online Omnipod account before clicking 'Go to Discover'

Make sure you are entering the correct Omnipod ID and password when attempting to access Omnipod Discover via your Online Omnipod Account. If you continue to have issues, call Insulet customer care for further support 974 800 0704.

Enrolment to Omnipod Discover is free of charge for both Healthcare professionals and Omnipod 5 system users.
