A Two-Part Insulin Management System

The Omnipod® Insulin Management System is insulin therapy that is comfortable to wear and simple to use.

Please speak with your diabetes healthcare professional first to assess your suitability for the Omnipod® Insulin Management System.

The Pod

The Pod

The Pod is a small device that you fill with insulin and wear directly on your body.

Its durable, waterproof2 exterior shell houses a built-in 200-unit insulin reservoir, angled infusion set, automatic inserter, delivery mechanism and power supply. An adhesive helps the Pod to stay put anywhere you would normally give yourself an injection for up to 3 days3 of non-stop insulin delivery.

The Pod includes a small, flexible cannula that inserts automatically at the push of a button.

It delivers precise, personalised doses of insulin into your body based on the set and variable rates that you programme into its wireless companion, the Personal Diabetes Manager (PDM).

Insulin settings should be implemented as discussed between you and your diabetes healthcare professional.

The Pod communicates wirelessly with the Personal Diabetes Manager to programme insulin delivery.

The Pod can be worn discreetly under your clothes while carrying the PDM separately in a bag4. And you’ll never have to worry about snagging, tangling or feeling tethered by tubing.

The Personal Diabetes Manager

The hand-held Personal Diabetes Manager wirelessly manages your insulin delivery based on settings that you programme4.

You can wear the Pod comfortably and discreetly under your clothes while carrying the Personal Diabetes Manager separately in a backpack or purse. The Personal Diabetes Manager needs to be within 1.5 metres of the Pod to deliver a bolus, but does not need to be kept in proximity for basal insulin delivery3 after activation.

The Personal Diabetes Manager has a built-in FreeStyle® Lite blood glucose (BG) meter.

You can use the built-in FreeStyle® Lite blood glucose meter to check your blood glucose levels as often as needed.

The information from your Personal Diabetes Manager can be uploaded directly to data-management software.

Accessible both online, diasend® stores your blood glucose, insulin and carb data, as well as information from your BG meter, continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and fitness tracker. diasend's® clear reports and charts give you the information you need to make better decisions about your insulin management.
